lube chain help

Just some basic advice I am getting a new bike and looking for information about cleaning and lubing the chain. I don’t class myself as an extreme biker but I do like going on bike rides twice a week. Well there are so many lubes and de greasers out there I don’t know where to start.

    Basically only the inside bits of the chain need to be lubed - lube on the outside does nothing but pick up gunk.
    I use Squirt whatever the weather. http://www.in2dust.co.uk/ Works well if you follow the instructions.
    It's wax based, so needs to be put on a clean chain. Chain just needs a wipe down and reapply lube every few rides in bad weather, less often in good weather. No need to degrease.

    But everyone has their own opinion.
    I don't do smileys.
