Here's my new Santa Cruz Tallboy Carbon. Changed from a Santa Cruz Blur TRc because it was too small . . . which is still on the market by the way, if anyones interested.
The "up against the garage" pic.
The proper picture.
I didn't have time for a full photo shoot, but ill have some more pics soon. Total bike weight came in at 24.8 lbs. With some changes I have planned I should be able to get it under 24 lbs. Which is pretty great given its a 29er and an XXL.

That bridge on the forks looks the wrong way round, probally not but thats messing with my head0 -

I haven't gotten out on it very much yet, but the few rides I have had on it have been very promising.

The bridge on the DT forks are a bit odd in that way, i've been riding Pace forks for years so its not that unusual for me, but I do get some odd looks sometimes.“Don’t buy upgrades, ride up grades.”

Thanks! It turned out better than I thought it would. So it's nice to see hoe nice it turned out.

I like the bridge too. There's a DT Swiss theme going on with the bike as well. The Hubs, Forks, Shock, and spokes are all DT Swiss.“Don’t buy upgrades, ride up grades.”

I had noticed the Swiss theme going on which i'm curious to see in the long run just how durable it proves to be as i'm only just getting back into mtbing and theirs a few new brands out there now that i don't really know anything about lol .You must treat others with respect in order to be respected ..

I've been running DT Swiss Hubs and Forks on my previous bikes for the past 5 years, and Pace forks a long time before that. So far i've never had an issue. I recently sent some 10 year old Pace forks in for servicing and they came back brand spanking new for only 100 quid. I've heard horror stories about DT but i've never had them happened to me or witnessed them first hand. In my opinion DT is a nice alternative to the Fox Suspension, and Rock Shox's out there“Don’t buy upgrades, ride up grades.”

Bike Swan ,
I like what i'm hearing from you about the DT Swiss hubs as i don't recollect hearing about them back in the late 80's which was mainly noted for shimano , specialized , Fox and Rockshox as Hope and Pace were basically just starting to grab every one's attention and a lot of people wanted Gary Fisher bikes and John Tomac was making a big impact on the mtb scene .You must treat others with respect in order to be respected ..

I wasn't alive in the late 80's so I wouldn't know. But I think Pace was getting into it's stride in the 90's, so what your saying makes sense. I'd recommend the DT stuff if your looking for something a little bit different. If it's value you want, Rock Shox, or Fox will be a better fit.“Don’t buy upgrades, ride up grades.”

I like stuff to be durable 99.9 % of the time but i also like a change from the norm on occassion so i think i might just go down the Swiss route in the not so distant future as it would make a nice change from what i'm use to so i'll let you know as soon as i've got my self sorted and will keep you updated with how i get on with the new hubs lol .You must treat others with respect in order to be respected ..

I have found the DT stuff to be very reliable, but other people have different opinions. Obviously dont go for the 180 hubs and World Cup race fork because their not going to be as reliable as the normal stuff. I've got two pairs of DT Swiss XMC forks, 2 pairs DT Swiss 240s Hubs, and 1 pair of DT Swiss 190 hubs. So far, I haven't had a problem with any of the stuff, but once again, I might just be lucky :?“Don’t buy upgrades, ride up grades.”

It's got to be down to to more than just luck that you haven't had much trouble with what you've had and i'll take stock of what you've reccomended and i'll give the 240 hubs a go but i'll have to save a little first though .You must treat others with respect in order to be respected ..
