Is it ok to buy a 2nd hand saddle?
I've seen some that say they take time to bed in or mould.

I have had 2nd hand ones and had no different experience with them as I have with new.

In fact the one I use now (which is the best fit I have had) was bought 2nd hand off here.
    Yellow is the new Black.

Is it a conventional saddle or one of the old school Brooks saddles ?

Conventional dont change shape really - Brooks do - I'd not buy one of those second hand.

Why not? As long as the leather hasn't gone rock solid there's surely no reason why a used Brooks shouldn't adjust to your shape like a new one.

Any saddle will take a little while to bed in, as it adjusts to your shape. Second-hand is fine!

I picked up a second hand saddle saving about £80 on RRP - no bedding in as the shape suits me (have similar saddles on other bikes) and it's a damn site more comfy than the Flite Ti that it replaced.

It's how they fit your sit bones that's important.
