Leg Warmers

Hi all,
I have had my Gore Windstopper leg warmers for a while now & think they are great, in fab condition & do the job well. However, I am wondering if any other leg warmers out there are as good or better. What i'm after is a pair i could wear on a long ride in the cold & rain. I know some come with a roubaix fleece lining, some like the Castelli Nanoflex come with a water resistant outer fabric. I ordered some of the Nanoflexes from Wiggle but found the sizing difficult to get right so can't comment on them. Like the idea tho.
Any recommendations or should i just stick with the Gore's?

I don't have them but I do use the arm warmers and they're excellent. If you email Prendas with leg length, thigh circumference etc they're very good when it comes to recommending sizes.0 -
Im a newbie so please excuse my lack of knowledge,
Would you use your leg warmers to pull over your legs whilst wearing your shorts? So you have shorts for summer and the warmers for winter? Or would you just buy some tights?Cube Attain SL Disc

it is usual to wear bib shorts with leg warmers. I don't often wear tights , only when it is really cold. You can wear bib tights with a roubaix inner like tights have but i like to have a bit of added warmth & wind protection in winter so would usually wear roubaix tights with normal bib shorts over the top, maybe wear a pair of sports breifs to keep the charlies warm! In summer just bib shorts with leg warmers but interested in another non tight option for long rides to avoid wearing tights.0

Warmers just allow you to fine tune and dress for the specific temperature.
Otherwise you end up with days where Shorts are too cold, and tights are too warm.
Every cycling wardrobe should have:
Tights - Either roubaix lined with a pad, or plain unpadded lycra to go over the top of some summer shorts.
Shorts - Summer shorts, Roubaix lined shorts are optional to add more flexibility
Warmers - set of lycra warmers for cool weather, Roubaix warmers for cold weather.
This should cover most eventualities.
Then you have to stock up on a similar variety of garments for your top half..0 -
For the money Louis Garneau leg warmers are good. Under £30, nice and warm and they look good.0

The DHB leg warmers from Wiggle are great and you can't beat £16 really. How hi-tech do you need leg warmers to be?0

My Endura leg warmers have been fantastic. I bought them back in November and they have been worn/washed at least once a week since. They don't slip and keep my legs nice and warm. they have performed well even in the rain over the last few weeks.1998 Kona Cindercone in singlespeed commute spec
