Hello, newbie to the forum here.
Looking to buy a decent quality hybrid. My o/H has got herself a Dawes Kalahari, and it seems good quality, and I'm wondering if anyone has a tip/guidance on other good hybrids worth considering?
Also.... looking to restore my Mk 1 Raleigh mustang after 25 years of service, where can I get bits???
Many thanks in advance

What sort of hybrid are you after? A more racy, road type, a light MTB type, or the relaxed town a city type?0

Well im after a light MTB type, suitable for old railway lines, countryside etc. etc.
I'm quite taken with the Dawes my girlfriend has got, but the wheels seem a bit thin, and I wndered what the quality etc. was like in the long term.
Many thanks

The Kalahari is more of the Town and Coontry type, ie comfortable, equipped with racks and guards - but also quite heavy, and underspecced too for the money.
Can you stretch to £460?

Fast, very light, nicely made.0 -
I would go for the Sirrus expert at evans (reduced from £949 to I think £650) - it only has 28mm wheels though - so if rough tracks are part of your commute then forget it - otherwise just get a second set of wider wheels - I think they will fit.0
