Hi all
Bought a Cube Analog Disc 2012 at the weekend and want to get it insured as from here on in it will be my only means of travel.
I just wondered what companies on here people rated as a good insurance company to use?
With this in mind, I'll also need a Sold Secure (Silver Level or higher) lock to validate the insurance. Any recommendations or advice would be really gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

Mine is on the house insurance
out of the home, that have a list of all my toys and approx value (max claim £3000)
just use really good locks in really open public places
all I have done, had a replacement for a stolen bike,? got a cheque for £1200, cant say fairer than that.0 -

For me it was much cheaper to stick in on the home insurance (Halifax) then seperate bike insurance.
I don't know about locks I don't leave it unattended ever.0 -
I bought a cheap old Specialized off Ebay for £30 use it for popping to shops etc. Cheaper than a lock. My decent bikes are either in the house, the car, or being ridden.I don't do smileys.

Thanks for your input guys. I am not a homeowner so home insurance was out of the question really.
I have gone with protect your bubble as my insurer and am looking to get a couple of ABUS padlocks and chains.
Thanks again.

you dont need to be a home owner. The out of home insurance is covered by the contents insurance which even as a tenant (if thats what you are) you should really have.
If you have the benefit of living at home ask the bank of mam&dad if they can add it to their policy.0 -
the abus ones aint very good i got 3 of them they are easily cut within seconds. see i would go for something a little more heavy duty..www.bearbackbiking.com
