It seems really clean. I have managed to track down a date for the front mech for 1977 which seems about right. It has camag headset, cranks and dropouts,Nisi wheels on Mavic hubs, Dura ace rear mech and suntour front mech and shifters.

The only thing a bit out of place is the Kalloy seatpost. Can anyone recommend me some good pedals (clips and straps) and some gumwall tyres?

Cheers

MKS make good pedals that would be appropriate for that bike.

Cheers Hoopdriver have just ordered some MKS pedals, toe clips and straps along with some GP4000 gumwall tyres. I cannot wait to get this on the road. It really is a bit special, the lugwork is amazing, there are little touches like a club, spade, heart and diamond inlay on the inside of the fork legs. I think it is going to have to hang on the wall above the bed, sod the marriage :)

I met Ron Cooper last year. He's in his 80s and still building frames, now in his 66th year of building!

That's really tidy, I'd be happy taking that out for spin on a sunday afternoon. I'm thinking of putting my Boeris steel frame back to original from SS (pretty naff conversion). It's still got the braze-ons for all the downtube shifters etc.
