Carried away....

Went to the tip at the weekend. Like a good environmentally friendly boy I put what I could in the various recycling skips and then threw the two left over black bags into the landfill skip. I drove back to the house with something nagging at the back of my mind - what was in the second bag? I could only remember putting one bag in the boot when I loaded up. Then it dawned on me, before I went on holiday I cleared all my site gear out of the car boot - two hard hats, reflective vests, protective gloves, glasses and boots - and put them in a black bag. I then put them back in early last week. I now have to replace the entire lot!!!

I've had a few times where I've almost thrown out stuff in the car but always realised in time. Anyone else ever done this?

No, nobody else here is stupid enough to have done that. Just you.:lol:

Sorry, but I had a good laugh at this. I used to always have a bin-liner full of smelly, road-film-covered site gear in the boot of my car. I realise how easily it could have been mistaken for a bag full of old magazines, carpet samples, Cannon and Ball VHS tapes etc on a number of occasions. God knows how I avoided it!

I once threw $100 away in an airport in a plastic bag along with an old sandwich wrapper, empy packet of crisps and can of pop and only realised when I arrived at my destination with no money and the nearest place to get money about 10 zillion miles away.

    Oh how I laughed ...........

sorry all I could think of was:
The last that ever she saw him
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
He passed on, worried and warning
Carried away by a moonlight shadow

Lost in a riddle that Saturday night
Far away on the other side
He was caught in the middle of a desperate fight
And she couldn't find how to push through
