Helmet suggestions

Hi all

I've never ridden with a helmet before and I don't want this thread to descend into who does and who doesn't and what happens when you come off etc

I'm just looking for sensible recommendations for a helmet to buy as I'm doing a sprint distance triathlon where a bash-hat is a must.

I have a mahoosive noggin, mind - quick measure with a tape and it's 62-63cm round

    Latest edition of Cycling Plus has a feature on helmets with loads up for comparison.

    Giro Savant is an excellent helmet for the melon heads out there

    63 cm jesus christ :-), I've got a spare oil drum if you want to knock something together.

    On a serious note, I thought my head was masseeeeeeve until I tried a Specialised S works MEDIUM which is perfect and feels fantastic (in a comfy way :-)) )

    Met Testa Grossa. You will be comfotably in the middle to last 2/3 of the adjustment range possible.

    I have one and highly recommend it.
