Eddy Merckx EMX-1 or Focus Cayo Pro

The Merckx is Shimano 105 5600 2011 with RS20 wheelset, practically new and the Focus Cayo Pro is 2008 with SRAM Force and 2012 Fulcrum 7`s but in excellent condition and looks almost new.
I`m leaning towards the Merckx but would like a second opinion.

Ive got a Merckx EMX-1, and I love it.
Mega ride, handles really well and looks awesome.
But I'm sure someone will be along saying the same things about a Focus!
I test rode a load of bikes when i bought mine and would recommend you do the same, slight differences in geometry etc can make the choice a no brainer

I`ll be purchasing online so wont be able to test ride unfortunately.
How upright is the Merckx? Can you get down low and put the power done when needed?0 -

I think someones been sniffing Bikeradar reviewsFaster than a tent.......0 -
Meaning the headtube is tall giving it a more upright ride.0

I know what you mean but the difference isn't really that great. Magazine reviews get hopelessly carried away with the difference between Sportive and pure Road Racer bikes - what's more going to influence your ability to 'get down low and put the power down' is your own physical geometry. Sportive bikes are not Dutch bikes whatever Bikeradar might imply!
Put your arms straight out infront of you with your palms flat on the desk. Now, keeping your palms flat, raise your hands onto your finger tips. That's the difference between a tall head tube and a standard one. If you want to know the specifics of your potential frames then just look at the geometry.Faster than a tent.......0
