They are poor bikes at best.0

Why is that? For a budget AM bike they hit the spot.0

Solid & not too bad to ride. If you want a all mountain bike on a very tight budget they actually are ok. Upgrade potential is limited by the very heavy frame.
Some of the young lads at the local DH trails use them as mini downhill / freeride bikes. They seem to survive cased landings, crashes & hucks to flat pretty well for a budget bike.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Isn't there a known problem of the frames/swinging arms cracking on them or, am I confusing it with something else?Cheers Nathan.0

Whatever the reviews say i've rode one and it was very heavy, and rode worse than hardtails i had for about the same price which were obviously a lot lighter.0

Its a heavy hardhitting AM bike on a budget, it will be heavy (The frame with coil shock is 4.4kg.....) the older ones had issues with chainstays cracking, later ones don't, the daughters BF rides one which is much modded.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
