That is lovely! Why the SRAM Red Chainset with a Dura-Ace build though?

SRAM Red as it's a BB30 bottom bracket, others don't like BB30 but my experiences have been nothing but good so I wanted to have it with that type. It's just what I prefer :)

Thank you..It's way beyond my ability but I wanted something a bit special that I wasn't planning on changing anytime soon, if ever! It is absolutely fantastic to ride too.

    Good looking bike.
  • A fellow club rider has recently purchased a Bottecchia (our LBS has started to stock them) and they are stunning frames. Enjoy!

That's nice, very nice. I have a Bottecchia and love it, you don't see many around, probably why I can't bear to part with it! Why did you fit it with Shimano and not Campag?

Looks really nice, wheels a little too black, stainless spokes would look less "heavy" but a great frame choice - good for you.

Nice long cranks for a medium-ish size! Looks like your BB to saddle top is about 72-75cms.

Went with shimano as it's what i've always used and I suppose what I feel comfortable with, I'm not one for tradition so fitting an Italian frame without italian group doesn't bother me. Blasphemy to some I know!

I agree about the blackness of the wheels, just changed the tires and I don't think this has helped, the previous ones had a little colour to just break them up a bit. The frame is one down from the largest one they do, it looks more compact than it is!

    How do those wheels ride?

They're very good, a bit scary sometimes in the wind though. The bike is an extremely smooth ride, but there's no lateral give at all.

Not sure why it took so long, couldn't really get much information out of the factory but it was worth the wait.
