I'm about to build up a Santa Cruz Blur LT (it's the 2009 frame, Black anodized).
I'm after a 140mm fork with 1 1/8th tube, but don't want to spend more than £500 on one.
I've been looking around and I am inclined to go for this

Any thoughts or further suggestions?
cheers

Sektors are rarely worth it when you can get the Revelation for cheaper.

Lighter, better damper, more adjustable.0 -
I'd been looking for the revelation but couldn't find one for the price..
That my friend is a great spot.
Cheers!0 -
Pity Merlin have sold out, cheap there too!0

yeah, theres been a few good offers on various forks, but either out of stock, tapered tube or 150mm which is a little more than I wanted.
What's your take on Thru Axle or QR. Is that a nice to have, or are there serious performance benefits to the thru axle? I ride mainly at llandegla or more recently the long mynd, so a mix of trail and natural. I'm not a speed merchant but I do like to get a bit (and I mean a very small bit!) of air when I can.
I'm inpatient to get it built but also conscious I want to make sure I get the right bits.0 -
Some people can feel it, some can't! Heavier, harder riders tend to notice more benefit, but 15mm is not that much stiffer than QR - however 20mm is.0

Thankfully i'm not a heavy rider, and i'm sure I wouldn't be classed as a hard rider.
That's good to know as it was one thing which was niggling me, whether i'd be missing anything buying forks with the QR.
Think I'm sold on the rev from all terrain cycles.
Thanks Supersonic, much appreciated..0
