Mekk or Cube

Hi - first time poster and newish rider so please go easy.
I am looking at purchasing a new bike and I am torn between two options and would value some more experienced help and advice.
Essentially this will be used for regular weekend riding and as my bike for some Triathlon's that I have planned - and then the aim is for an Ironman next year.
I have just become a father so money is tight but have saved for this and is something that I would cherish.
The two options I am looking at are these:
Mekk 2G Poggio - http://www.mekkbicycles.com/Poggio-P-2.0-105.aspx
&
Cube GTC Pro - http://www.cube.eu/en/road/pro-comp/agree-gtc/
The Mekk can be sourced for under £1k, whilst the cube comes in at £1250.
The main difference I can note are that the Cube is all Carbon and has 105 throughout, whilst the Mekk has Carbon frame and forks and has a mix of 105 and Tiagra.
Once purchased I really won't have much money to add and tweak etc and so I am looking for the best ride that will last me for 3 years with minimal fuss etc.
Any help or advice would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick

Welcome, Nick!
Both bikes are lovely. The MEKK is a really nice looking bike for the money, and has decent components on it, even tho the groupset is a mix. I'd be tempted to go for the CUBE, just because the groupset is full and CUBE have a very good reputation (was looking at one myself before buying my bike). I don't know how Tiagra holds up against 105, but I have full 105 on my bike and find it faultless.

I have just bought the Cube Agree GTC Pro (the one you have linked is the non pro version) and my innitial impressions after the first ride on it today was very good indeed. The spec on Cubes seems to be supperior to similar priced bikes (mine is mostly Ultegra with a 105 crank) and they look damn good too.
Just be careful on Cube sizes though, they do come up on the short side.Cube Agree GTC Pro

Hi MIgrantwing and Ringo - forgive me for not posting again sooner but I have been overseas with limited PC access.
Thanks to you both for your help and advice.
I am now the proud owner of a Cube GTC Agree and am loving every minute.
I thought long and hard about the Mekk and did fall in love with it - but without the full 105 set-up on it (which the cube does) it didn't seem that good a deal after all.
Thanks again.

If you're going for super dooper value carbon then check out Canyon, Rose, Boardman too.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0
