Ceramic vs steel BB

If the reason that steel bearing BBs seize after riding in inclement weather is because grease gets washed out of the bearings, does that mean that ceramic bearing BBs (which don't use grease) are therefore more weather resistant, or have I misunderstood?

If crap gets past the seals, they will get ropey anyway - if the seals let water in, they'll let mud and grit in too.
I'd just get a cheap one and service regularly.0 -
Most ceramic bearings still have some grease as well, it's only a full ceramic (races and balls) where you can really go totally without.
I'd just get steel and service/replace more often.0
