Hi guys. The rear brakes on my Airtlite 100 have IMO excessive travel before the brakes actually bite. Once engaged they're nice and strong and will lock-up the wheel but the handle must travel a good 2/3rds of the way before they engage. The fronts enagage about a third of the way through the throw. The owners manual and build instructions aren't very clear and I'm unsure how to adjust the handle travel. Is it a cable issue ? The bike is about a month old, bought brand new.

You can use the adjustment barrel or unclamp the cable, squeeze the caliper with your hand, pull the cable and clamp again... then adjust with the barrel... the latter operation requires a bit of practice, somebody helping you or being fitted with three hands...

If you release the cable and hold it (but not pull it) you can then squeeze the caliper to just touch the rim, then you can let go of the cable and tighten the clamp bolt.

Give the lever a good few squeezes and re-check that the brakes are where you want them. If not adjust with the barrel. Only 2 hands then ;-)
    Yellow is the new Black.
