building a commute/winter training bike. not looking to build anything incredibly fast or even that flash. dependable to make a short commute to and from work and something kitted out for winter training.

its a 62 i think i know its slightly bigger than my caad and thats a 61. i have to be honest i am not looking to make it amazing or anything, but i like the frame looks nice now i have had chance to look with the wheels on. i have a sora group set coming sometime this week. after that a few of the parts are coming off the caad and i am buying some slightly better one for that, i.e. seat post, saddle, handlebars, stem, wheels(just got magic aksium for caad).i will probably kit it out with mudguards and pannier rack. the other reason i am building it is so i can learn all about bike as i really have very limited knowledge so its a big learning curve. if i learn enough i may in the future look to build a main bike to replace the caad. i have just got the headset delivered but very unsure if i should try and fit that myself after the videos i have been watching.

well the build is nearly finished! finally got the gears all working, just been fiddling with brakes today too.bar tape on.just going to look for a seat post and saddle as this one is off my cannondale. had a quick ride around the block but will need more riding to just get everything right.short commute to work will start sunday night!

Nice to see these well-priced frames getting some exposure on here. The ride can be a little harsh, but for the price... can't go wrong!

Looks good and it also looks massive given the size of the headtube on the 'average' Prefissio!

It'd look great with white stem and bar tape.

i won't do white tape lol i had that on my caad and just got too mucky.basically the stem, bars, wheels are all off the caad as i took them off to upgrade her a bit so it is a bit of a mix and match bike.the other point was to learn how everything works and getting my head round a couple of tasks took a bit of thought. i would like to build a bike for best possibly next sometime soon. I'm not fans of the wheels actually either they don't seem very durable and go out of true very easily so may look for some very cheap reliable wheels soon.

am quite sup prised how nice she looks considering.

well first 2 rides to and from work have been done and the resulting ride was amazing!! unfortunatly not in a good way lol it was shocking i can even get my head round what i dont like about it appart from everything i need a little fettling before i go back tonight and see if i can iron some issues out!
