? Bent rear derailleur hanger

Hi,
Bit of a newbie so apologies if I don't get some of the terms correct etc....
I recently had my bike knocked over so it fell to the right and landed on the derailleur. The bike is a Rockrider 8.1 with SRAM X7 derailleur. I got home with the use of some of the gears and then checked it out in a bit more detail. If I try to shift the chain onto the two largest rear sprockets the chain will shift up but the derailleur brushes the spokes on the rear wheel. Also, on the front gears, If I try to shift from the middle sprocket to the largest, the chain just jams completely.
I've read through the forum and it sounds like perhaps it's just the hanger that is bent as I have the use of some gears? If this is the case, what is my best course of action? Take it to the LBS (which is a cycles UK)? If so, any idea what it is likely to cost to repair and how long I should expect it take them?
If it's something I can repair myself, can anyone point me in the right direction for how to do it?
Any advice appreciated
Cheers

get a new hanger (bike specific) and fit not hard to do.
see park tools for how to fit a rear mech."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

this may help you..
here's the correct tool for the job.
although it can be done with a adjustable spanner if careful...
or just replace the mechhanger if it's replaceable.www.bearbackbiking.com

Excuse my continued ignorance but where is the best place to get a replacement hanger?
I've looked on Decathlon's site and can't see it listed and a google search only really throws up one ebay link with a seller from Isreal?0 -
I asked the same question last week.
I found these guys;

Very helpful and quick replies to emails. Sent them a photo of my current hanger and he told me which model number to order. They showed up a couple of days later (France to France)"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

Just in case this helps anyone in future, I contacted Decathlon and they can supply dérailleur hangers but they're a "workshop" part and not generally displayed online or on the shop floor.0

But he can, so farting around with an aluminium hanger is pointless. As you yourself pointed out.I don't do smileys.

I've straightened steel frames with no problems, but wouldn't like to mess with a non replaceable aluminium one - I'd be scared of crashing (even more scared than usual)I don't do smileys.
