Advice on which bike please

First off, newbe from Horwich, Bolton, so like to say Hi All

I am looking for a hardtail MTB for under £1500 that will last a few good years

Been looking at the Cube Reaction Pro - ALu frame and the Cube Reaction GTC Pro - carbon frame

Question are,

1. what the drawback of a carbon frame against an alu one?

2. are Cubes bikes any good?

3. is there any other bikes like this that are better value for money?

Any advice will be greatfully received

    Generalising, but the carbon frame is usually lighter, and can be smoother ie filter out buzz from the trail.

    Cube bikes are good value with the LTD and Reactiob range

    Take a look at the Boardman Pro though for less cash.

    not sure on the carbon front but i had the same issue with what bike to get not long ago looked at the boardmans etc and i went for the cube i love mine good spec and build quality is brilliant but the main thing is it feels nice to ride so give them a test no doubt you will fall in love.
