I've just managed to save up enough to get myself a new 2012 hardtail and it's got to be one of the following:
Carrera Fury - great reviews but does it stand up against the rest?
Giant Talon 2
Trek 4900 disk
Specialized Rockhopper comp
Boardman comp
Orange G3
You know the saying "spoilt for choice"? This is doing my head in! I am a on road/off road rider but steadily increasing my off road time. Plus I want to do the 'Wheelwright C2C' in the style of CTC's Dan Cook.
Please just say which you think is the best buy and I'll simply add up the 'aye's & go from there.

If they are all at the same price-point (no discounts/sales) and there is a Boardman in the list, I would go for the Boardman.
However, make sure that it 'fits' - some bikes just don't feel right when you sit on them, no matter how much you fettle.
