Advisable fork swap?

Hi,
I currently have a 2011 Specialized Hardrock Sport disc. Everything is standard and I was looking to upgrade the suspension from the OEM Suntour 80mm fork to a Rockshox Recon Gold Solo Air 100mm fork. The frame size is 21 inches, I have emailed Specialized to check that the bike is suitable to take the longer travel fork but have not received a response as yet. I also checked the bike manual but it does not mention maximum fork travel fittings. I have also searched the forum here but haven't found any specific guidance on this. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You'll be fine, and IIRC correctly your warranty on the frame will be ok too.A Flock of Birds

Doubt it will even do that - the dropout to crown length is probably very similar, as some models (same frame ) come with 100mm RS forks.I don't do smileys.
