Just got my first FS bike after spending a good 2-3 weeks reading reviews, searching the internet, asking questions and speaking to shops before picking a 2011 Stumpy Elite. Why last years? I didn't like the look of the BB30 and 142 rear spacing that they've introduced across the range, I could get a higher spec bike for a lot less money than this years equivalent and I liked the different colour scheme 
It is completely standard and just need to decide on a set of pedals for it, test ride ones are on it for now.

Thanks, got it from http://www.bikescene.co.uk, it was the last one so I was lucky. The staff are really helpful, set up the suspension for my weight and it was well packed for shipping.0

I think your fears about BB30 are unfounded...it'll be everywhere soon!

Cheers, it's the first full bike I've bought in more than 10 years as I built my last one. It's not that I have any fears about BB30, I personally don't see the need to change to a new standard that costs more when I haven't had any issues with what I currently run.0

Just upgraded from the stock DT 420 SL wheels.
Wheels: Mavic XM819 rims on Hope Pro 2 Evo hubs with DT Comp spokes.
Tyres: Schwalbe Nobby Nic UST 2.25 front and rear
Cassette: Shimano XT M771 10 speed 11-36

Looks great mate. I agree on the BB30 but 142 x 12 is way better than a normal qr0
