Gear cable headaches!

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum as of about 5 minutes ago. I have been saving away bike parts to build myself an on-one 456 ss for over a year now and i have just started to put it together now as i have all the parts. It was all going swimmingly until i attempted to run the gear cable through the front and rear derailleur's. I had it all wired up and i tried shifting to see if it would work and the cable housing slipped through the guides on the frame, removing all cable tension an rendering shifting impossible. I have tried everything i can think of but i can't fix the problem. Any suggestions? or am i missing something obvious?
Thanks
Jake

Have you put Ferrules on the cable ends?0

Erm... the caps /covers that came with the gear cable housing are on if that's what those are?0

Yep thats what they are for, can you get a pic up?0

(Front of rear cable housing , ignore the cable tie, for some reason i thought it would fix it)
This all happened when i tried to shift , looked ok before..0 -
I can't see those myself so here's the links :

Looks like the cable guides are for a fully shielded cable rather than exposed0
-
Ok, does this mean i'm going to need to buy something?0

Yes, cable guides not stops. Full length outers.I don't do smileys.

Will these be compatible with my slx shifters? or do i need new specialised ones, also could someone send me a link to some suiable cables?0

Just normal cable outers, but instead of cutting them into bits, you just run the full length from shifter to mech.I don't do smileys.
