Coast to coast couch surfing

Hi.
A friend and myself are hoping to do the coast to coast this summer. My plan is to set off from Kendal, cycle down to Arnside, then up to Sedbergh, then Hawes, Leyburn, Thirsk, Pickering and finishing in Scarborough. We plan to do this in one day, have a days rest and then return to Kendal by bike the following.
My plan was to stay in a B&B but my friend has suggested that we do some couch surfing. Rather than using the couch surfing website to just find a random persons house to stay at I thought I'd ask on here to see if anybody in or around Scarborough would like to let us stay at their house for a couple of nights. We would return the favour by letting you stay at one of our houses (Kendal or Staveley) which make a good base for exploring the south Lakes, and you would be more than welcome to ride with us if you fancied doing a single day crossing of the country (approximately 120 miles by our planned route). Our plan is to do it mid week, but we have not arranged dates yet.
Also any thoughts on our suggested route would be welcome.
