Tried the search option but nothing came up.
Can I put the above items in the bike bag or other hold luggage?
Seem to remember 2 years ago, the guy on the X ray machine threw a bit of a wobbler re WD40 aerosol.

Many thanks

  • Don't know about WD40 but do know that a couple of friends had their CO2 canisters confiscated before boarding a flight to France a couple of weeks ago... Don't know if it was just a nervous security guard dealing with the unknown or official though...
  • WD40 aerosol.
Do you really want a can of inflamable vapour on a plane you're flying on?
CO2 cylinders are OK on BA flights (as long as you don't have lots of them), but the TSA in the US don't allow them.

Last year at Manchester the staff did specifically check for CO2 cylinders. Do you really need WD40 or would you be better off with a bike specific lubricant which should get through no problem?

Where are you going? If it's France for example, just pop into a branch of Decathlon (they're everywhere & open late) and pick up some cannisters? Click on "Mon magasin" for an interactive map.
