Took a half day from work and drove over there for a quick blast. Got to the carpark and there was a boardman emblazened van in the carpark..got to the cafe and in he walks! Seemed friendly enough and was happy to have his picture took with a load of people..

I set off shortly after him and Id love to say I could keep up..but I would be lying very very badly..in fact I think its fare to say that I didnt see him again on the trail lol...

Happy days

And one in the eye for people who say it's just his name on the bikes.

Or at least I hope he wasn't riding an Orange 5...

I hope you had a good look at his bike - he tweeted that he was testing 2013 models

seen him in dive kit quite a few times at Dorothea quarry on the leynn peninsula as well

I've never really got the brand behind boardman bikes. They seem to have to be higher spec and cheaper, because of the brand.

Yep got a good look at his bike..as expected it was a boardman and he was litterally head to toe in CB gear as was the team that was with him. He certainly seems to believe in his brand, and why not!? Its good enough gear

They were indeed testing the 2013 bikes and pretty good they looked too.

A couple of mates saw them going round Cannock Chase on wednesday as well.

I doubt it's just belief in the brand, I bet part of the contract states that he must use the CB gear.
Same as how you never see a sponsored team rider, on another manufacturer's bike.

I do believe he has faith in the egar, or he wouldn't put his name to it, but it's highly unlikely you'd see him using anything else, I reckon.

A phone rings on an island in the Caribbean...

    CB's agent: Hello?
    Halfords: Where's Chris?
CBA: Outside in the pool music & girls laughing in the background
H: Well tell him to get his arse over here right now we've got a huge stockpile of obsolete frames to shift. Tell him to wear his Team CB outfit and we'll pick him up from the airport in the van

I agree with that point. it would look a bit silly if he endorses his own brand but is then seen riding round using another brands gear.
It surely must be in the contract that he wears CB stuff and rides boardman bikes.
Constantly trying to upgrade my parts. It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.

    From Liverpool I think.

And yes, obviously he's going to ride his own brand's bikes.

He was also at Llandegla on Sunday leading out a small road sportive for some charity or other. He lives very local to me, often see him out and about.
