Hub sizes

Hi, first post so be gentle please.

I'm building an MTB at present which is centred around a 2005 Kona Hoss Delux frame but I'm a little lost at hub sizes. Are they all pretty much standard? On measuring the rear forks (inside to inside) I'm getting 137mm and 10mm between the holes (excuse my lack of terminology). Does that sound standard?

I haven't a front set of forks yet but I'm thinking of going carbon rigid with some Exotics.

Cheers,

David

    so standard qr mtb rear hub is 135mm (plus a little to get the wheel in the gap)

    old old school are 130, and the dh standards are massive (2 or 3 sizes at the mo)

    Cheers mate. I'm 'standard' then. Just saw a set of wheels on fleabay with a massive rear bolt and it made me wonder. Must have been a downhill set.

    Cheers again.

    spacing:
    road bikes = 130mm
    "standard" mtb = 135mm
    downhill = 150mm

    axle size:
    "standard" mtb = 10mm
    "maxle" mtb = 12mm
