Recommend me some overshoes...

My Enduras are getting a little tired; the neoprene is beginning to flake, the stitching is fraying around the bottom where it catches on my SL cleats when I wear my road shoes and the velcro top closures don't... err... velcro any more. However they still do a stirling job of keeping my feet warm and dry and are a good fit over my SPD shoes.
So what to replace them with? Fancy something in either black or red to go with my normal colour scheme, reasonably priced, maybe a bit softer/easier to get on (the current ones are heavy neoprene - a tad bulky) and of course they must keep feet dry!

i just got these (in black) if i had known they did silver i would have been tempted...lol!

lightweight, pretty waterproof.. but they are pretty tight to put on and off..
pretty good for a "summer" rain overshoe - my other ones are neoprene and i was sick of either having soaking freezing feet or steaming boiling feet outside the depths of winter...0 -
The Castelli ones are very good for me. easy to get on and off, comfy and waterproof. I think they could do with a little reinforcement under the front but they're still going well for me after repeated use

To hijack a little, what about toe cover recommendations? I can't wear thick socks with my new shoes so need to keep the air out on cold mornings.0

I've got some Pro Tarmac Overshoes and I've been pretty happy with them:

They're zip up at the back, and have a velcro strap for the top. Not entirely waterproof (gap at the top), but definitely showerproof and pretty warm despite being quite thin. I've had them for about a year and they've survived the daily commute.0 -
Prendas! These ones are sodding brilliant and great value: http://www.prendas.co.uk/details.asp?typ=typ&fkid=17&ID=3024

Both my Castelli ones fell apart. Prendas might not make the sleekest looking stuff, but you can't go wrong with their overshoes & base layers.- 2023 Vielo V+1
