All in same wheel
All in different places - ie not same bit of debris in tyre

Tyre was inflated each day before I rode to the maximum PSI

What do I do to avoid getting any more?
New Tyre you say- I fitted a new tyre a week gone Sunday- Continental Gator Hardshell - and its since then I've had the 4 punctures

I'm going for the train

Where (geographically) are the punctures happening? Can you change route to avoid the big pile of broken glass/flint/drawing pins?

Could it be a sharp bit of something loose in the tyre so it's moving around when you repair? I'm sure you've checked for this. Combination of the rain washing all the shite into the road and a bit of bad luck.
Don't forget to refer to StroppyBoardmanBloke's thread for how to behave in a puncture related thread.

Its not pinch punctures or something left in tyre. There are 4 seperate holes in tyre caused by external debris.

I think it is a combination of being unlucky and the rain washing debris into the road.

All punctures occurred in Central London and all riding has been on roads

I had 5 in 1 week last week. Seemed to be brought about by all the crap getting dislodged from the rain.

    4 seasons back on now.

i had four in three journeys last week too. in the end i got so fed up i bought some Schwalbe Marathon Pluses and i haven't stopped since. worth every slightly-heavier penny imho.

when i was stopped off in Holdsworth's fixing the fourth one, the guy behind the counter said wet weather makes punctures more likely not just because there's debris in the road, but also because said debris sticks to damp tyres, and the extra lubricration from all that grease and water on the surface helps pointy bits penetrate more easily... as it were.

    p.s. bloody hell gabriel, that's awful :(

No worries mate, I haven't got all the details yet, just a few words from a club mate on an email. It was the intermediate club run of the CCC to Clavering Lakes I think as well. From what I have read the air ambulance was there and they tried to resuscitate her for more than 30 min.

1990- June 2010 (but rode with CCC from probably 2007-2010 on and off)

Was on and off at Uni. Rode a lot with them in the summer of 2009.

We probably shared the road a lot then!! Did you go with the sporting run or intermediates? I started to go out with the club in 2008.

Both :) - they seemed to vary how fast the intermediate ones. When the racers turned up I usually went with the 2nd fastest, but when there weren't many of them I'd head out with the fastest.

Last ride I did with them was a veeery long 140-150km North through the fens.
