New pads are required on my anthem, current brakes are Shimano M445, think they are sintered pads, shimano replacements (deore) type work out to around £14 to £18 a pair.
Does anyone use superstar or Clarkes alternatives, my bro has superstar pads on his lapiere, really responsive but still squeal after nearly 3 months of use. Advice required, ta.

I use the kevlar pads from superstar - they're great, odd bit of squeaking, but they do the job and at a good price too.0

I put some clarks one's in my commuter bike and they've been fine. They're in cable brakes but the same pads and they work just as well as the shimano ones they've replaced; that's on a commuter bike in all weather. They're not noisy. For £6 I just theough they were worth a try and the gamble has paid off for me. YMMV0

Have been using Superstar Organic pads on my Deore M525's. Do the job perfectly. Bit squeaky in the wet but luckily we don't get much of that over these parts.
Need pads for the Session (Elixir R's) so might try out the SS Kevlar ones"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes
