Just a quickie about going for a Hans Dampf trailstar front 2.35 and Racing Ralph pace star 2.25 rear? Like the idea of the extra grip up front and getting the rolling speed back up by going Ralph on the rear. Is this too extreme from front to rear? Anyone tried this.... It's on a whyte 146......

Depends more where your planning on riding i'd say.
I've just gone for nic pacestar 2.4 front, ralph pacestar 2.25 rear, but have yet to ride it yet. Should be a nice combo for my riding. At least summer(ish) anyway.

Nowt wrong with it in principle. I think you'll find theres a big difference in grip between the Nic and HD though (not in a good way)

It's for general trail and trail centre use- red run downhill and a bit of fun enduro type stuff, will still need to pedal 20 miles every now and then on xc type terrain. Realise there's no perfect combo but didn't know if anyone had tried HD/RR combo....
