This year I've put on some TA chain rings 52/36 goes with my campy compact groupset with 11-25 cassette. Great for the UK, but I've always used a 50/34 and 12-27 in European Sportives. Do you think I can leave 52/36 on or do I need to swap the rings around to my spare 50/34.......a small hassle.
Was just going to add a 11-27 or 12-27 with 52/36 haven't done the calculations yet, will it be enough. I do remember using a 27 for small amount in last years Marmotte.
