Been allowed to take my bike on long term work placement, just wondering what box / case would be best to use for flights?
The bike is a 17" Hardtail with 120mm travel forks
Cheers

if money is tight just nip to your lbs and ask for a box they should give you one free
i have used the ultra sports bike bag they around £90 they are ok but are hard to manouver as they fall over..
my fav is the evoc bike bag it kinda dear at £250 but it makes traveling with a bike a pleasure, they stand up and are easy to manouver due to the wide base. also the bike fits in better and does not have to have as many parts removed to fit in the bag...www.bearbackbiking.com

Got one of these, unused, that I'm about to sell for £40 if you're interested. Wrap the bike in bubble wrap and strategically placed cardboard and you should be fine with something like this if cash is a bit short.

Thanks, for the offer, but it's a long haul flight with two changes so I'd like something a little more "robust". I'll take a look at the EVOC bags

IME if your flying which involvs faffing around at airports especially if you got to change over and collect and recheck your bags then i would go for the evoc bag.. like i said not cheap but defo worth it.. the way the bike is stored in the bag is clever...www.bearbackbiking.com
