Lighter wheel set up

I want some lighter wheels for my Reign X for XC riding but on a bit of a tight budget. I still have my EX721's for DH/AM riding. Will need wheels, cassette & discs
20mm front & 12mm rear axles, 6 bolt discs & 26" wheels to suit 2.35" tyres. 9 speed cassette & 180mm discs.
I was thinking Superstar Tech2 Evo XC wheels, XT cassette & Superstar discs. Have already got Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.35" folding tyres.
XC isn't what my bike is best at or what I most enjoy doing on it so don't want to spend too much.

The tech 2 with Crests would be a good bet for XC.0
