RoadToPista track dropout adaptor

Seen these on Ebay on the link below. Think they will be aimed at the Fixie commuter market. Not intending to buy them myself but do you think that they may be lethal?

    to my unknowing mind that looks like a good idea...
    What I'm cautious of is why have I not seen these for sale elsewhere, there must be a good reason which I'm about to learn...*awaits knowing post*

    Can imagine they'll rotate in the dropouts as soon as you kick hard (or maybe not that hard), wouldn't touch them with a bargepole!
    Obsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated!

    That exactly what I was thinking. I think they are potentially really dangerous
  • I have more then 20000 km on those Roadtopista adaptors.
    I put then on 4 years ago and they have not moved since.
    If they would move they would fail safe, since the wheel can not slip away because it is retained by the chain. The wheel would simply touch the chain stays and you would be alerted that something is wrong.
