Hi,

I'm looking for a new pair of road shoes and have run into an issue. I was thinking of getting a pair of Diadora Proracer 3 shoes (the outgoing model as they are on special and the reviews seem to imply they are top draw items).

However no shops near me stock them so I was hoping someone here might have some experience with them.

I have quite narrow feet which are unnecessarily long at a size 12.

I have some old (7 years or so) Diadora MTB shoes which are a 48 and whilst the right lenth are much to wide/deep for me.

I was considering getting the Proracer in a 47 to help with my skinny feet but am concerned they might be too short. Does anyone have any experience with these shoes regarding the sizing in terms of length and width? Are there any other make/model combos that fit in a similar way I could go and try to find?

Of course the size I need means most shops don't stock the models they do sell anyway, which makes it even more frustrating!

Thanks for any help you can give,

Marcus.

Oh, and I was also looking at the Mavic Huez shoes as I'm a tart when it comes to light weight things and also I tend to get very hot, so really well ventilated shoes sounded like a good plan.

Does anyone have any experience with them. I'm concerned "ultra light weight" is also another way of saying "flimsy and won't last very long."

Unless you spend an absolute fortune of course and even then it can still be.

I have Diadora Proracer. I have quite broad feet which hover between 43 and 44 depending on brand. Size 43.5 Proracers are a perfect fit. I think they are quite a broad fit by Italian standards - I have a pair of their MTB shoes in 44 which are fine with thicker socks but the rathcet needs doing up pretty tight to get a nice snug fit.

Where are the deals on Proracers by the way?

Diadora are small-sized like Sidis - generally go up Euro size bigger than usual IME
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Cheers guys, looks like proracers probably won't work for me. The deal was a US site and I'm out there in a couple of weeks so was thinking about ordering them. $250, so pretty decent price! Oh well.

I have used Diadoras for some time now because I have found the size that fits me well(46), however they are sized slightly smaller(or so it seems) than other brands. So +1 on the above.
