Has this brake lever had it or can it be fixed easy enough? Wanted to ask on here before I start trying to do anything and make anything worse!

it depends on if there is anything left in the body for the C clip to engage in.

could be a new lever assy or just a new C clip if you dont still have it. have a look at the exploded images on shimanos webby for your lever assy.

Just had a close look at the brake lever, yeh it looks like the "c clip" has just popped out, it is still on the brake lever but I can't get the bloody thing to pop back in, too small a space to get in and do it! :(

***Edit*** Just spoke to a mate who has a tool that can sort the c-clip :)

I spent a good 15 minutes relocating a c clip on a Shimano brake lever last summer. It is an arse of a job but it is possible.

Hi I have the same problem, had a fall this morning and the lever has popped out. How did you resolve it?

Mini/micro Cir-clip pliers is the tool you need. You can get a blister pack of them from amazon cheaply or improvise with..???

Its a fiddly job though take your time.
