Some of you may remember me joining the forum to talk about an accident which left my ankle in a few dozen pieces.

This week, less than 11 months later, 10 months since surgery, 7 months since standing again, 4 months since walking without a stick, I cycled to work.

Well it's still weak an sore, and will never be the same. but I am lucky in a sense because I don't think that it will hold me back. The rest of me has to get used to being active again and the Achilles will have time to adjust. It's not the same as the gym, that's for sure.

Driver astonishingly plead not guilty to careless driving. Faced with the eventual inevitability, and hopefully a pointless legal bill, he eventually changed his please and was fined fully £330 and given 9 points. I sincerely hope his insurance premium now means he is driving a Nova rather than a mid life crisis Jag.

I love britain. Driving is a human right here.

If you can get back on after that then there's hope for us all, well done.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.
