Setting up a triple front mech

Just a quick one. When setting up a triple front derailleur (a friends, Shimano 105) is it best to get things started with the chain on the smaller chainring or the middle chainring first? I've never had a triple, my bikes have always had doubles or compacts, and just wanted to know if the steps are the same when setting up the front mech regards a double/triple mech.
TIA

Set it up with the chain on the smallest chainring. The process is the same if you have a double or a triple.0

The tension of the cable is set with the chain on the middle chainring . Check Parktool.com repair section which gives a good guide to this.0
