Gary Fisher Marlin 29er 2011 Mountain Bike

Hi there,
I'm currently looking at investing in a new mountain bike, spend wise from £250 to max £350, I am a novice what you would consider a novice i.e. not had a bike for a few years, but want a bike that I can use as I get more experienced.
I've seen a few post referring to the Carrera Vengeance and Mongoose Tyax Elite, but have stumbled across the Gary Fisher Marlin 29er 2011 Mountain Bike @ £325 - is this better bike than the Carrera and Mongoose and good for the money?

All three look pretty good for the money. I ended up getting a Rockrider 8.1 but that is a little more cash.
People on here were very helpfull in making my mind up on which one to get, so hopefully someone out there can give you a bit of better advice.
