Bike Condition Question!!!!!!!!

Just got my invoice through for my nerve xc 8.
Delivery condition reads, Ex works.
Does this mean it was used .by the canyon MTB team, refurbished then sold on? :?:
So basically a second hand Frame....... :(

I've sent an email to canyon but no reply yet, was just wondering if anyone on here had a definitive answer about this.
If this is the case the bike will be going back and I will be ordering A trek ex 8

    Ex works means the seller has the goods available at their premises and the buyer is responsible for shipping

    Was thinking along the line of works engines, teams in F1 etc.
