Hi all
thinking of doing the southern upland way this year. Anyone done this and/or have a route plan or ideas. Would like to do it all off road if possible and take in some of the 7stanes.

My brother in law wrote a walking guide to the southern upland way.
David Williams 1989. "A guide to the Southern Upland Way" - Constable and Co. Ltd, London/Ordnance Survey.
    ISBN 0 09 467910
You may find this useful ,I know that he and his girlfriend walked the whole route assisted by my wife and daughter.

Rode the section from Sanquhar to Wanlockhead last Fri.

It is a big ride with little in the way of places to stay en-route. Lots of carrying and boggy in lots of places. Gets easier after the Moffat hills over to Peebles
Moffat hils pics somewhere in my 'bucket site.
