Has anyone been up to Coed Llandegla Forest this week, how wet does it get and does it get muddy? We are going on Friday, planning to do the Red route and it looks like rain everyday until and including Friday :(

Never gets that wet or muddy and you can ride it all year round apart from when the snow comes.
  • Was there Tuesday this week, and as said above it just had a bit of surface water in a few puddles, it never really gets muddy and I've ridden it nearly twice a week since september (even in the snow).
  • Agree with all the above.. even after serious amounts of rain you can still charge round on Racing Ralphs... it's our wet weather bail out when our local Dark Peak trails are too sloppy.

I was there tuesday as well. First time at a trail centre and loved it.

Managed the red route and all of it was rideable if you are fit enough ( which I'm not but will be one day soon !!)

The climbs towards the end of the red route killed me off !!

    Have fun.

I went on Saturday, first time visitor and was pleasantly surprised how good a condition the trails were in.

Have heard negative comments about Llandegla but I can't understand why. It was reasonably quiet, never had riders blocking in front or flying up behind, certainly quiet compared to Cannock my regular location. Loved the pump track and skills area too, very handy.

The trails are great too, very fast and flowing :D
