Cannondale CAAD8 105 2010

Evans website lists the weight as 6.27kg but this seems very light????? :?: compared to 8.94kg listed for the Scott Speedster S20 2011 :?

Can anyone tell me how much it really weighs? (pref 54cm frame!)

Need to decide on a new bike soon! Why are there so many choices?????

  • Hello Mate,

My CAAD8 in size 58 cm is about 9kg so I guess it should be a tad lighter than that. Hope this helps.

Be weary about weights... they don't include pedals, bottle cages, all stuff that you do need, so you have to add an extra 500 grams at the very minimum, just to be on the road. if you then add a saddle bag with a couple of things in it, a computer etc, very few bikes are really under 8 kg on planet earth

I wouldn't take that as gospel- the 8.8kg is probably compiled from 'claimed' weights of all the constituent components- very likely to be underestimated.

I have a 2010 CAAD8, 56cm. I've swapped in lighter wheels, tyres, tubes, skewers and saddle, and it's in the 9kg range.
