Hi guys,
New to the mountain bike world and need some brake maintenance help.
Just purchased a used but absolutely prestine condition Giant XTC 4 2009 (blue/white/silver) model. Everything on the bike is perfect apart from brake pads are nearing the end of there life and I want to change before they reach the metal! So... Which kind of pads do I buy?
The only info I know on the breaks are that they are Giant Root Hydraulic Disc Brakes as per Paul's Cycles website which still actually sell this model.
I have found on eBay there are a few different type/models of pads for this type of brake like S2, S2K, G1 and MPH so which ones are the right ones for my bike?
Any guidance/help to point me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated!

Try a Giant dealer or give these guys a call, chances are they have a pair to fit.

Go to this page http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=28 and click the pad identifier link in red. I think you need pad S2 but take the old ones out and check against the guide.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0
