Cannondale sl5 or Carrera Vulcan

I'v been looking at getting a new mountain bike for a while now and think I have narrowed it down to either the Cannondale SL 5 2011 or the Carrera Vulcan. They have both been reduced £380, just cant make the final decision on what one.

Would appreciate any advice.

The Cannondales 2012 model and the 2011 model at the time sell for £499 is that purely because of the name?
