Specialized Venge and SRAM Force Crank?
Here's one for you.....
I recently bought a Venge frame and a Sram Force groupset to put on it. As you probably already know, the venge comes with Press fit bearings that, having looked at it allows the crank to push through and spin on. Now the crank ( a BB30 model )came with external cups but having looked at the set up it seems to me i don't need these in order to fit the crank. Reading the instructions of the fitting it seems all i need to do is fit the bearing covers and the wavy washer along with a few spacers if needed. It states on the instructions as well that the wavy washer should not be compressed fully flat, but that would mean that the crank isn't fully tightened, am i right or am i reading too much into it?
Is that the normal set up for Sram Force BB30 cranks?
Any ideas?

I've got BB30 on an Izalco and it'd take some force to flatten that washer, I just tightened it up by hand with an allen key and I haven't had a problem since.0

That sounds ok, you fit the nylon cups to your venge then push in the bearings then fit you chainset and tighten to the recommended torque job done, the non drive crank will only go on so far and that is what the wavey washer is for to take out ant side to side play.0

I don't think there is room for the any cups to be honest. The end of the crank would not go right through for the left hand crank to attach to it if i fitted the cups.
The ceramic bearings were already fitted into the BB, so i'm assuming that i just fit the cranks through the bearings and fit any washers to take up any play?0
