Im buiding up a 29er, im putting a new crankset in it, but was wondering which gearing would suit the 29"wheels best. should i go for 22-32-44.. or 26-36 -48.. 9 speed cassette fitted to the rear. Mostly trail centre, natural trail use

What gearing do you have on a 26er and are you happy with it...bear in mind that to get the same overall gearing as a 26er you need 10% shorter gearing in the chain drive.

And is that right for you/your usage? Too short (youe pedal out) or too long (lowest gear isn't low enough)?
