Anyone got a Plasma chain device from Superstar components?
Im struggling to get it to fit, replaced one spacer drive side but my crank is rubbing the device as it turns.

You havent fitted any washers to the screws which hold the palsma to the iscg mount have you?
I did with mine (not plasma but very similar) and it was causing the crank to catch on the screw heads.
Took the washers off, problem gone. I did have to shorten the screws first though - hence there being washers on there to space it out in the first place.
Could do with a pic showing your arrangement.0 -
Its on and working but it rubs, will get a pic up soon.0

Front view,
View from under BB,
Chainline front rubbing on device inner, but in centre at rear of the plastic tab,
Bottom guide is central,
The crank rubs the plate as well were the small ring was fitted.0 -
Crank rubs the iscg plate or the screw heads?
How is the chainline over the spread of the cassette, ie does it go from rubbing one side to OK to rubbing on the opposite side?0 -
Crank is rubbing the plate not the screw heads, maybe it needs rotating round, dunno, rubs on the back of the front guide in every gear.0

Hmm, if it was rubbing the rear, you can spread it slightly by adding a washer. It's as if it needs spacing back.
You could swap the ring to the front of the cranks, but then it would rub on the outer of the guide, unless you spread it as above.
You'd have to check the chainline again though.
How bad a rub is it, kind of a rub that'll sort itself out in a ride? Or rub that'll kill something?0 -
It's not a hard rub but its not right and it will do my head in!0

Dunno then pal without looking at it.0
