Hi Guys
I've recently began using my 2007 Kona Cindercone for commuting to work after it septn far too long in hibernation in the shed following previous trail use.
The head had always 'knocked' quite alot but not being bike mechnically minded I just moaned and carried on...anyway, I undid the top fixings yesterday and the ball bearing race was all bent and a few ball bearings were loosely rolling about, which explains the head wobble!
Problem is, it's unmarked headset apart from stating 'aheadset' on it...the Kona spec. stated TH but i simply want to know how to repalce this ball bearing jobby simply...I dont really want the hassle of replacing the whole headset myself.
Any thoughts on spec. and how best to fix it?

Best thing to do is buy a big bag of loose ball bearings of the same size, then fill the bearing cup with the balls and remove two. They don't need the cages.0

Can do if the full balls doesn't cure it. Usually does, and adds in more strength/wear ability too.0
